Qu Jiuhui, director of Committee of Experts of Xinjiang Water Treatment Engineering Technology Research Center, now serves as director of Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and he is also at other additional academic positions including vice chairman of All-China Environment Federation, vice president of Chinese Society for Sustainable Development, member of Environmental Education Advisory Council of China, member of Consultative Committee of Experts, Engineering and Material Science Division, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and executive director of International Water Association (IWA).
Qu Jiuhui is a winner of national science fund for distinguished young scholars, academic leader of creative research groups of China, and chief scientist of 973 Project in China. He has published more than 390 research papers in academic journals at home and abroad and 3 academic monographs, won 29 authorized invention patents, directed and completed a number of major water pollution control and water purification projects. He has won 2 second prizes of national scientific and technological progress, 11 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, 1 science and technology award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, and 2 international prizes for innovation projects.
